Important work related to health equity. The project focused on the characteristics of clinical trial patients in both the academic and community settings. Even though proportionally more patients at academic sites have opportunities to enroll in clinical trials, community sites provide more opportunities to enroll diverse populations. The findings highlight how community site involvement may improve trial representativeness, and underscores the need for targeted solutions to optimize trial representativeness in both academic and community practices.
